Kams, Inc. manufactures new cams from bar stock using the latest CNC production technology.   We produce a variety of cam configurations, including single cams, cam lobe sections, master shafts, and camshafts.   Our production envelope can accommodate sizes from two inches long to segmented camshafts up to 40 feet long, and lobe and main journal diameters up to 15 inches.

Our machines have the flexibility to accommodate the growing need for cam profiles that can lower emissions, reduce fuel consumption, and maintain or increase engine performance.

Our preferred method of heat treating is carburizing and case hardening.  This process, while more costly and time consuming than induction hardening, produces a uniform case depth regardless of lobe dimensions.
